MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 32 mm, 12.57 g, 12 h), circa 166-160. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; to left, monogram of Pergamon; to right, amphora. Kleiner & Noe Series 8. SNG Paris 1701. Perfectly centered on a broad flan and beautifully toned. A few light marks, otherwise, about extremely fine.
